25 kW Solar Power Plant at Malankara Plantations Ltd

India’s first net zero office complex which meets all the Energy requirements of the Office Complex, which includes 18 tons of Air Conditioning, Computers, Lighting, Ventilation, office equipment, water pumps and a packing machine. With the installation of the Solar Power Plant, the Office Complex is now disconnected from the Gird and is functioning wholly on its self-generated Solar Power.

65 KW at Spice Village, Kumali-World’s first Net Zero Resort

The world’s first net zero resort with 56 cottages is installed at the Spice Village Resort of Casino Group of Hotels (CGH Earth), Thekkady, Kerala. The capacity of the Off – Grid Solar Photovoltaic power plant is 65 KW. The modules are mounted 33 feet above the tennis courts with a space frame structure to avoid shading, maximize irradiance and also to utilize the area underneath for tennis court. The system would support the full load of the resort after implementing the energy efficiency measures as per the energy audit. The resort will generate its own electricity to meet its 100% power needs and is completely off the grid. With the help of the power from the Solar PV, it is made possible to reduce the connected load from 305 KW to 65 KW, through some really innovative engineering and energy efficiency measures

The capacity of the Solar Power Pack is 19.11 kWp and  since the 95% of the load is during day time, a battery-less grid tied system is provided.Total CO2 emission saving expected by setting up the plant is 21.08 Tons/ year.

50 M3 (25 M3 X 2) Capacity Biomethanation Plant generates Biogas from Night Soil collected from 2 hostel buildings.  The Biogas is used for generating  electricity using a 5 kW Gas Engine.  The electricity is supplied to power the  garden lights.
